هَب أنني طفتُ السماء مُحلقاّ

وبنيتُ قصراً في الفضاء وخندقا

أو أنني أصبحتُ أول حاكمٍ

بلغ الأعالي دون خوفٍ وارتقى

ورُزِقتُ خيراتِ الكواكب كلها

وملكتُ جيشاً كالنجوم وفيلقا

أيفيدُ هذا حين أول سكرةٍ

عند المماتِ بدون زادٍ أو تُقى؟

كلا فلن تجدي الممالك والدُنا

إلا الذي قدمتهُ قبل اللِقا

واعلم بأن العيش فانٍ إنما

سيفوزُ من باللهِ كان مُعلَّقا

Suppose I floated in the sky
And I built a palace in space with a trench
Or that I became the first ruler
To reach the heights without fear and ascend
The bounties of all the planets that have been blessed
And I owned an army and legion like the stars
This is useful when the first drunk
When dying without provision or taqwa?
No, you will not find kingdoms and our country
Except for that which you gave before the meeting
