I Dove In Ignorance

From one day to the next I dove in ignorance

Telling myself that some knowledge has been learnt

Thanks to my intelligence

Now I sit here behind the veil of weakness

As an old soul does waiting in the hospital behind curtains

With bated breath my heart appears behind the veil

The world is rent asunder into trials and tribulation

Then the ocean of my heart wanders the desert

With a thousand oceans found in each one of its dune waves

We went into this desert hoping to discover certainty;

We migrated from a world of bodies into that of the spirit

We meditated and prayed day and night for a lifetime

Entering this blue and green ball entirely perplexed

Only to leave it completely bewildered
