Kula Darwaza (Open Door)

The spirit itself which delicately drapes

All of it comes in a myriad of shapes

Human, jinn, plant, or animal

Essence doesn’t die - the visionary form escapes

The cathartic frequencies of music long ring out

Perish the sanctimonious and overly devout

A draft perfumed by the light flick of your hair turns a lover insane

This night long meditation is evermore in my sleepless brain

It bears a ringlet’s crescent and a lip sweeter than sugar cane

Somewhere in the first heaven near a cloud summit

This door is always open, I can never seem to shut it

Champagne dew sprinkles and diamonds snow

Someone asked me where emeralds grow

I gave them my cup and they took a few sips

Phoenix took flight and then pointed to your lips

It’s from الله

It’s from الله
