The Night Flame
The song of a voice from a distant land
Flushing the world a sunset rose
A lovely note on the stillness grey
And deep in the soul a great repose
Rest my little honey while I croon, croon, croon
Your eyelids bedtime descends from this lover’s tune
Vapours shift and fairies hover round the moon
Catch a glimpse as you drift towards astral realms soon
I doze off into slumber pondering Rumi, Hafez
Only to see her again, that drop dead gorgeous face
“Only” - what an interesting word in this beautiful case
Only sweet dreams of you come to me
If “only” you were to see
The way you laugh, the way you smile
Causes many a heart to skip, then leap a mile
Within your mind, a vision shall show
One of love, where passion can grow
Clarity helps us see that something more should be
From here on out it shall grow anew
Starting from a dream that came to show you
Sometimes I get this urge
To roar Masha’Allah when my heart remembers or notices a matter related to you
A peaceful ocean underneath the sunny sky blue
That which is even remotely like that, which is resemblant of you
My crux beckons and bellows your name
Nature’s true beauty is often far from tame
Space is kept out of respect, courtesy, and compliance
I hear chords of deafening silence
Fuel for the desolation of tyrants
If it isn’t forever then what good is it…
Some require infinite love that is timeless
The rest of this poem - ought to be ryhmeless
It’s from الله
