Illuminated By God
Shadowed by demons of the grave and angels from hell’s gates
But Illuminated by God in an eternal brilliant fashion
My life is a constellation of poetry which time itself awaits
Synthesized by musical crests of compassion
Listening for her unique chord in the heart of our Universes
Underneath the moonlit starry skies and tears of the red taper
These steps that walk in her remembrance
Always lead me back towards pen and paper
None of this should be necessary
But we might just mine the minds of men dry
Drunkenly drain the planet from sea to sky
A hundred Earth’s would seem a bargain
For a glint from her eye
