My Heart Is Always At Thy Festival

Oh compassionate one

Whether it’s painful or fun

My heart - is always at thy festival

Rainbow rays blanket sublimity, all over the hills

Ocean waves glisten coasts through sockeye gills

Life’s emotional essence brings heat sweat and chills

To go where ever it is, that your divine spirit wills

Finding it’s way into the nooks, crannies, and slivers

Rubied wine careens through blood vessel rivers

Love drunkenness packs a punch to the liver

Of glad tidings, shoutout to the giver

Not me…

Her that makes my hand and soul quiver

Witnessing from where the sun shyly prefers to cry

The orange disk trembled, setting beneath the sky

Immersively drowning in full swoon

I spent time with her on the full moon

I reeled, staggered, swayed, and swung

Into a night where painful stillness hung

Some injuries wealth can never fix

Engaged at 23, Married at 24, divorced at 26

Sometimes all he can do is reflect and take the licks

But a man can hope can’t he?

Visions of love given, received, and never sold

Of brighter days, wisdom, and new lessons unfold

“Your searing ember in the chest burns sad and bold

Dreaming of reciprocation the way you tend to tenfold

Drink your chai now Bashir, before it gets too cold”

It’s from الله

It’s from الله
