Light Upon Light
“If the doors of perception were cleansed,” William Blake said “every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite.” In higher states of sensitivity we catch flashes of Infinitude, a glimpse of the mind’s limitless capacity opens before us for a moment, as our imagination syncs with God.
(50:16) Surely We have created mankind, and We know the promptings of his heart, and We are nearer to him than even his jugular vein.
Praying, then, is in some ways to be recognizing oneself to be that which we now desire, rather than simply accepting the form of petitioning.
Why do seemingly millions of prayers go unanswered? We pray to a projection of God that does not exist. For instance: To be conscious of being poor and to pray to a God for riches is to be rewarded with that which you are conscious of being—which is in need of material matters. Prayers to be successful must be claiming from divine treasure rather than simply begging in despair—so if you would pray for riches turn from your picture of poverty begin by denying the very evidence of your senses, submit by assuming faith, taking on the nature of being wealthy, internally.
When you pray go within in secret and shut the door to the outside world. That which your Lord sees in secret, with that will he reward you openly.
The very moment my claim is established to a point of conviction, right then I may draw unto myself the evidence of such a claim.
Do not question the how any of these things may appear in our three dimensional world, for no man knows that way. That is, no manifestation knows how the things desired will appear.
And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows that which is on the land and in the sea.
Not a leaf falls but that He knows it, and no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth, and no moist or dry thing but that it is [written] in the clear book. (6:59)
Look upon your desires discerningly—as often they are the spoken words of God into your being, every word or desire a promise if we handle it right. The reason most of us fail to realize our desires in a healthy manner is because we are constantly conditioning them. Do not condition your desire. Just accept it as it comes to you. Give thanks for it to the point that you are grateful for having already received it—then go about your way in peace…
A question often asked when this statement is made is; If one’s desire is a gift of God how can you say that if one desires to kill a man that such a desire is good and therefore God sent? Let me note that no man desires to kill another. What he does desire is to be freed from such a one. But because he does not believe that the desire to be free from such a one contains within itself the powers of freedom, he conditions that desire and sees the only way to express such freedom is by destroying the man—forgetting that the life wrapped within the desire has ways that he, as man, knows not of. Its ways are past finding out. Thus man distorts the gifts of God through his lack of faith.
Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. - Isaiah 61:1
