Life, is an attribute of Allah SWT that exists within His Self, upon which all other attributes are based.

Imam Razi raised this objection – to arouse critical thinking – that there is nothing about the attribute حياة which indicates perfection, which is attributable to Allah.

Then he replies to this objection himself and says that the attribute حي for Allah, it is through this attribute, all other creation derives their existence, because حياة for Allah exists within His self, and it is perfect and complete, and as for حياة for other than them Him, it is imperfect, and incomplete.
