دُعاء الصَّباح

I will not bid you a happy new year, but will bid the new year happiness in having you, and I will not wish you what people wish each other, but I will wish for people some of what you possess - for you are rich in yourself, and I am rich in you.

اَللّـهُمَّ يا مَنْ دَلَعَ لِسانَ الصَّباحِ بِنُطْقِ تَبَلُّجِهِ

“Oh God, Oh He who extended the morning's tongue in the speech of its dawning”

As I write to you, I do cry, but this feels heavier. I don’t know why, I do know one thing however. Before your face we must place our head upon the Earth: prostration is what the mirror of God deserves. Look at the incomparable art reflected therein, you understand the power of your painter… I kiss the land that has been blessed by your footprints.

Har taraf se ek muqaam dhiktahein

Jiski unchaee ham sabko sikhatihein

In the early mornings often

Tears cascade down my lips

When the salt reaches my tastebuds

I pray for you:

A life of Love, happiness, joy, family, health, laughter, cat(s), infinite baby rolls to bite, delectable food, and so much more, from this second to the time the Earth is no longer blessed by her breeze, may her trip to Heaven and beyond be laden with luxury amidst the stars. Ya Allah, may all of her wishes and dreams come true, and see to it that all is good for her too.

وَ عَلَّقْتُ بِاَطْرافِ حِبالِكَ اَنامِلَ وَلائي

“And fixed the fingers of my Love to the ends of Thy cords”

It’s from الله
