If her love or compassion in a lion’s jaws were to hang
Were she to ever request of this Majnun to act with his hand
I’d run the risk as a lucid drunk and seize it from his fang
Smacked my face the morning wind, on Earth happily I live
In this world by her mere glance, such joy does her slap give
You'd mistake her for the full moon, if not for tresses nearly black
Or perhaps Venus herself, if those sparkling eyes she ever did lack
Those soft lips a halo of moonlight outshining orbs' above
Let’s drown drunkenly as life partners in the ecstasy of love
Our hearts attuned to the new and old music, how exalted is our goal?
Can’t you hear passionate anthems, emanating from the depths of soul?
Love it is that crowns this mortal with power given by the forever divine
Catching a glimpse of heaven’s portal
Quietly expanding the conscious mind
