From The Eternal Lips of God

Remember when The Morning Breeze

First flew from The Eternal Lips of God

As a caressing kiss, to the sky and trees

The Angels felt relief and awed

What treasures life has for you in store

To Love till death, and then even more

Speak your illustrious name over my tomb without bated breath

As my hand pierces through rocks beyond the spans of death

Our work has begun

Saffron anointed carpets are well on their way from Isfahan

We’ve caught marble from the Carpathians

Cedar from Lebanon

So that when museums and galleries from these poems are eventually made

Shrines of divine Love for you upon Earth are forever laid

أَصْبَـحْـنا وَأَصْبَـحْ المُـلكُ للَّهِ رَبِّ العـالَمـين

“She is half of my soul, as the poets say. I could recognize her by touch alone, by smell; I would know her blind, by the way her breaths came and her feet struck the earth. I would know her in death, at the end of the world.” ― The Song of Achilles

- Omar Khayyam
