Who Knows If Our Prayers Are Answered
I hate doing this, I really do, but after seeing how much money in ‘Islamic Charities’ goes to waste from the inside, I thought I’d share what baseline budgeting can look like on a multi year basis, based on our own numbers and the money we’ve been able to donate in Canada this year within ASK. I like being focused when it comes to giving, of course a person can dilute their efforts and still achieve a wide range of impacts, but I prefer it this way, because it’s easier to know and see where the money is actually going, there is more accountability and efficacy per dollar that way.
If you do the work, there is no need to spend that much on marketing at all. Shoutout to Mummy who actually runs and organizes operations alongside my Phuppijaan, as well as our partnered businesses and Islamic Relief. Appreciate my Sister for jotting it down this simple, no need for powerpoint 🙏
Walied, I appreciate your perspective and understand where it comes from, I just disagree. I don’t give nearly as much as you do but I think stewardship is just as, if not more important than ROI when it comes to charitable giving. I don’t think we should run charity’s the way Norton Rose Fulbright does business development with corporate clients.
Now, go help Patrick Brown win election.
