Another Rapture
Few but the brave dare step aside
From customs iron rule
Common herd must follow it
Or be esteemed the fool
If I could summon forth a new glow, and mend
Strains with rapture through prayers penned
I might do little bit more than I do now indeed
But just how much? What’s the length of need?
For over the mountains
And over the waves
Under the fountains
And under the graves
Under floods that are deepest
Which Neptune and Titan obey
Over cliffs that are steepest
Love always finds out its way
By He who sprinkles destiny on us all so lavishly
I swear she herself, is beyond simple gravity
I have so much more I want to write tonight
But it’s Fajr already…
Ya Allah, fill her soul and life with a continuous increase in glowing love that inundates all those that are blessed to be found in her radiance’s presence. Grant her an abundance of the evening’s gifts as much as she is the morning, the calmness of a still lake as much as she is the wind, and all else she desires. Ameen.
