I’m happy me and this woman share blood, if we didn’t I might be slightly terrified of her. She makes the best Tahdig and Lucknowi Biryani in Montreal/Boston bar none. More important than any of that though, she’s a modern Taluqdar and one of my favourite emerging matriarchs in the family, who first educated me on our family’s Persian heritage, without overcomplicating it, and other aspects of myself. I’m blessed to call her an Aapa(Elder Sister).
