Sand To Sea

-Kahlil Gibran

When I’m fully honest with myself I realize she is more of me, than I am of myself. Whatever concoction of materials from which our souls are made, her and mine complement and mirror from sand to sea. If everything else were to die, and she remained somewhere, I would still continue on somehow. But if all else is here, with her presence lifted, the universes become a terrible stranger.

They ask whether my love sees with the heart or with the mind

You know even better, cupid himself is veiled blind

This is my love, steadfast, passionate, and true

The strongest current in the world

That the ocean ever knew

It’s from الله
